Be free..

So i finally did it... believe it or not this whole blog thing has been a thought of mine for a minute. I believe my sudden increase in free time is what pushed me over the edge... But ya

FREE TO THE RIGHT!!!

The term was coined by me a few years ago. It comes from a lame philosophy that i came up with to describe my surroundings. Though i was in college, i think it can be applied to any environment u may find urself in.

So... People align themselves along a linear spectrum with the extreme ends being "FREEDOM". All those in between represent CAPTIVITY... So the three general groups we are left with are those that are "free to the left" , those who are stuck in captivity, and those who are "free to the RIGHT"...

Now, the captive are a helpless bunch that have been programmed to think that true freedom resides on the LEFT; where all those considered "cool" people by affiliation are grouped. Believing this they lose themselves in trying to impress and be more like the free that they admire. Some will attain freedom by way of the Left, but it is usually extremely difficult, requiring sacrifice of some sort.

Dont get me wrong, its cool being free to the left. They usually are thrusted into popularity, they run things, and enjoy many other perks. I would say that they're only draw back is that they often time do not think for themselves, rather they suffer from the plague that is "groupthink" (look it up).

Ok, so wuts free to the RIGHT all about? These are those people that have managed to escape captivity, by simply not caring... not caring about what the crowd is going to think; not caring about staying within the safe parameters that those that are free to the left have put in place; not caring about offending anyone, just by being you. Really, if you are free to the RIGHT, you dont even care about your position on the spectrum!

So I and all those that wish to be, are FREE TO THE RIGHT!! Free to think the way we wanna think, dress the way we wanna dress, and listen to wut u wanna listen to... Hopefully this blog will demonstrate just that.

The philosophy isnt full proof. I understand that people could never be as 1-dimensional as i am portraying them to be, so do not take my perspective as gospel. lol. Its juss an interesting way to look at life (and it makes for a pretty good blog title). Im sure ppl can be free2dleft and the right! Or in captivity, with RIGHT tendencies... lol. I dont know, its all love at the end of the day, and I juss want ppl to be individuals!! -Ono
