Update on the Johnta blasphemy...

Ok so Johnta Austin got some angry reviews on youtube about his new song "Making Love with God" so he commented back (see blog vid below or click here to see Johnta comments).

I must say he cleared up the concept of the song considerably. He made some good points that I can understand. READ HIS RESPONSE PPL here. He is "swat2812"

I would say that one of my reservations with the song was that if he had mentioned that the sex was within a marriage, then it MAY have been aite... Well, in his rebuttal he says that he meant juss that. Ok...Cool. You will just have to excuse me for not thinking that was the case, in that "marriage" was NOT mentioned in the song... at least the snippet that he gave us.

This is the thing about artists and their music. Actually, this is why music can be dangerous. An artist may make a song thats purely and truly is about getting kids to do drugs. I mean, no beating around the bush, they are plainly wanting kids to do drugs. The song may even be titled "Kids Need to be Doing these drugs, Mayne!"lol. After they catch heat for the track they turn around in an interview and say thats not what they meant. Usually, they meant it to be some convoluted metaphor for world hunger and the genocide in Sudan lol. If all we here in the song is "baby wanna pipe, Im sellin dope on the playGROUND!" lol then wut else are we going to think?!! At the end of the day, I am playing the SONG over and over again, not your righteous explanation.

Not saying there cannot be depth in music, cuz some of the best songs are metaphorical and utilize complex lyrical techniques to convey a deeper meaning. But when it comes to GOD, I would say its best to be plain, brah!
