so... music?

wtf is goin on in music?!

For like 2 weeks straight I took a light hiatus from listening to any music. Y?

Well I was exposed to a lot of info on certain artists intentions in their music and I was deeply disturbed. To say the least, I was wrecked, in that I truly enjoy these artists music. In fact, alot of ppl do; they are forerunners in their genres. The accusations were not new to me, and I had always found a way to rationalize the situation, protecting me from giving up what I enjoyed.

As evidence has surmounted and the same accusations increase with no rebuttal or mention by the accused parties or the surrounding media I have no choice but to accept that there may be little truth in what accusers say.

SO... I have demoted some artists from heavy listening to barely at all and I am now on a journey to find new, fresh, interesting talent that has not yet bought into the system that I see the music industry is and has always been.

BECAREFUL TO WHAT YOU LISTEN TO!!!... neway, lighter note....

Just listened to a few albums that are becoming my favorites....

1. Fab cranked out a classic... liked all tracks but the one wit J.

2. Chrisette Michelle is a sleeping GIANT.

3. Mos Def "Ecstatic" is..... DIFFERENT. I really enjoyed LISTENING to what he had to say. And thats wut you have to do with Mos... listen. Quotes coming soon...
